2008 Plans and Targets...

We believe that God calls us to be proactive and forward-looking. Therefore, we have sought God's guidance and compiled a set of goals that we are striving to accomplish in 2008. The Youngsters for Christ Team ministry also has many needs, but some are of higher priority than others. The needs that we are trusting God to meet in 2008 are among those of highest priority. The most important thing that you can do is pray with us that God will enable us to meet all of our targets. As well, if you feel called to help out in a tangible way, we would love for you to come and serve alongside us for a short–or long–time. We would also love for you to join our family of Ministry Covenant Partners (see section below).

In 2008, we plan to:

• Specifically disciple and train 180 of our members so that they are equipped to go out to reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Reach out to 400 new people, which we also hope to intensively train, equip, and send out to reach others.
  
• Create more networks with other ministries, churches, schools, and organizations–both locally and internationally–for the purpose of working more effectively for Christ.
  
• Raise funds for evangelism material, such as Bibles and evangelism tracks, to aid effective ministry. Both the Bibles and tracks are best bought here in Kenya.
  
• Raise funds for 280 Study Bibles to distribute to local pastors who are not able to afford adequate Bibles or a proper pastoral education. We want to work with God to promote biblicially sound teaching from the pulpit.
  
• Raise funds for a ministry generator. Many of the locations we use for outreach function have no electrical outlets, and power often goes out at our ministry center.
  
• Raise funds for 2 projectors. We have enough YCT members, so we want to be able to split into separate teams and minister through video to different groups at the same time.
  
• Consistently meet our monthly family expenses needed to provide for the basic needs of the Njiru family: their rent, food, and medical.
