As the Youngsters for Christ Team, we accept and believe in proclaiming the truth of the historic
Christian faith including the following:

a. God and the human race

ImageWe believe that the Lord our God is one: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, and that He is the almighty creator
of heaven and earth.

We believe that God has called out a people from this world to help reveal Himself, His truth, His redemption, His judgment, and His Kingdom to others. However, God also works independently in this world; He has not limited Himself to working through this group alone. This group of people is united to God–and to each other–in love.

We acknowledge that though God made man in His own image and likeness, conferring on us dignity and worth and enabling us to respond to Him, man sinned and came short of His glory.

We believe that the Father has shown us His holy love in giving Jesus Christ, His only son, for us while through our sinfulness and guilt we were subject to His wrath and condemnation. God's unmerited grace puts sinners right with Him when they place their trust in His son.

We confess Jesus Christ as our Lord, Savior, Mediator, and God. He is truly human, born of the Virgin Mary, and a sinless servant full of grace and truth. He died on the cross in our place in order to represent us to God and redeeming us from the grip, guilt, and punishment of sin. He conquered Satan and all his forces, rising from death with a glorious body and ascending to heaven to be with His Father. One day He will return in His glory and Judgment to Establish His kingdom, righteousness, and judgment.

We confess the Holy Spirit who convicts and leads sinners to turn to Christ in repentance in order to receive new birth. He enables us to partake in the life of the risen Christ, thus making the death of Jesus effective in our lives. He illuminates Scripture so that we can understand its truth. He produces His fruit in us, grants His Gifts to us, and empowers us for service in the world.

b. The Scriptures

We believe that the Old and the New Testaments are God breathed, were written by authors inspired by the Holy Spirit, are fully trustworthy and authoritative in all that they affirm, and affirm our faith and life.

c. The Church and it's Mission

We recognize the Church as the body of Christ, held together and growing up in Him. Jesus is the head of the worldwide fellowship as well as all local congregations in which believers gather.

We acknowledge the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus to proclaim the Good News to all people, making them disciples and teaching them to obey Him.

We acknowledge the command of Jesus Christ to love our neighbors. We are asked to obey this command by serving the church and society, by striving for all people to be reconciled with God and each other, by proclaiming liberty from every kind of oppression, and by spreading Christ's justice in an unjust world.
